Only paid members of Collegiate DECA may attend conferences and must sign up in advance by e-mailing Kymberly Polser at firstname.lastname@example.org. There will also be conference information on the state website www.azcolleigatedeca.org.
During the conferences DECA members have the opportunity to participate in competitions to combine real-life experience with their education. These events are broken down into career clusters:
- Business Management & Administration
- Hospitality & Tourism
Competitions are judged by industry experts, and provide many networking, and professional development opportunities. Through practice competitions, students bring together classroom knowledge, professional development skills, and experience. The practice competitions prepare students for not only national competition, but also for their professional career.
